My name is Will Myddelton. I'm a user-centred designer and I work for the Government Digital Service (GDS) as a user researcher. If I had to pick three posts that sum me up:
- Three ways to run better discoveries - practical tips for motivated teams to get results
- Scientists, designers and The Truth - why research isn't a science (and why that's OK)
- The change curve - my personal experience of burnout and recovery
I grew up in North London. I spent ten years in Manchester. I used to be a musician. I love my girlfriend and my cat. I care about people but I like to challenge them too. I speak too much but I'm working on listening more. I'm figuring out what it means to lead other people rather than do all the work myself. And I'm determined to avoid burning out again.
These days I only write when I have something definite to say. The same does not apply to talking, as anyone who knows me will testify. Say hello on @myddelton.
